Due to the increasingly mature lithium battery technology, it has been widely used in daily life, and because of the advantages of good performance, small size and light weight, it is rapidly replacing lead-acid batteries to seize the market share. More than that, lead batteries are also more polluting. Europe has ruled that after 2030, all new cars will not use lead-acid batteries after 2030, giving them a heavy blow.

Will lead-acid batteries really be completely replaced by lithium-ion batteries? Compared with lithium batteries, lead-acid batteries still have some points, its price has an absolute advantage, lead-acid battery manufacturing process is simple, the raw material cost is low, the manufacturing cost is relatively low. Secondly, after hundreds of years of development, lead-acid batteries have better stability, and some important fields are still mainly assembling lead batteries. For now, lead-acid batteries may not be completely replaced by lithium-ion batteries, but they are the trend.
It is worth noting that some energy companies' main business is lead storage power batteries, but their performance has increased. Compared with lithium battery, lead battery has high safety and low cost, and still occupies the dominant position of electric two-wheel power battery. With the continuous growth of electric two-wheel production and sales volume and ownership, the demand for lead battery increases steadily; in addition, due to the safety and low temperature performance, lead battery is widely used in the car start and stop. It is expected that by 2023, China's electric two-wheeled lead battery market space will reach 68.8 billion yuan, and the start-start battery market space will reach 46.4 billion yuan, with a total market space of 115.3 billion yuan.
In the face of the uncertainty of lead-acid batteries and the steady increase in the market share of lithium batteries, the product structure of some large energy companies has also changed, and they are actively laying out the lithium battery business and focusing on the field of electric light vehicles.
